About A.M.I.

Association Montessori Internationale
The Association Montessori Internationale was established in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori in order to further the rights of the child in society. With headquarters in Amsterdam, Holland A.M.I. is supported by distinguished scholars and statesmen all over the world. A.M.I. is the recognized international authority on Montessori education and directs studies in affiliated teacher training institutions throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Australia.

A.M.I. Montessori Diploma
The internationally recognized Diploma of the Association Montessori Internationale is awarded by the Association to graduates of recognized training courses. These courses must meet rigorous standards, both in content and teaching staff. Only those schools whose classes are conducted by A.M.I. Diploma holders are eligible for recognition by A.M.I.
